HI! Nice to meet you!

Welcome to my page! This is my obligatory introduction post. I'm Abby. This is not my first blog. I had one several years ago. I left it behind to focus on new things. I hope I can entertain you here! I have some travel plans in the future. Soon enough that I am making sure to learn all I can about it. While, also far away enough I have time to obsess and over think it! I have been known to think of "what if" scenarios and prepare for those. I have over packed for every trip I have ever taken. BUT I have also had the one thing you won't have thought to bring...because I over think!! My next adventure will be a 15 day tour arround Europe. My significant other's daughter was invited on a school trip and we will be chaparones. I am so excited. The interary is a dream come true for me. I would call this a "once in a life time trip. We will be exploring some of the most well know landmarks and cities in Europe.

Due to my upcoming travel plans, I will be spending lots of time researching where I am going. Always important to know tourist "Dos and Don'ts". I will also be shopping for the perfect vacation packing. With that said, some future posts my have some affiliate links. If it is a product that I have bought to make my travels easier or something I think is a good buy, I may post a link for it. If you click the link, I can earn a small percentage of any purchases you make. There is NO additional cost to you.

Below are some of my travel pictures through the years, some of the dates maybe wrong. I will have to dig up some of my other trip photos! Some are actual photographs, other are on older sim cards.  I have been lucky to travel as much as I have, but Life is short and the world is wide, and I want to see as much as I can. I am grateful for the memories! Please leave me a comment and say hi, or tell me about your favorite vacation/trip.

How do I packlight?

As I said in my intro post, my next big trip is a 15 day tour around Europe. I can't begin to tell you how excited I am about it! But I am in need of a new suit case. The debate is soft-side vs hard-side. I prefer hard-sided luggage. I worry that soft-sided luggage will get torn or ripped or someone can just slash into it and steal your stuff! (See, I told you I over think things) The added bonus to me is my clothes and belonging will stay dry. Have you ever seen those luggage carts on the tarmac at the airport? The ones that take your luggage to be loaded on your plane. If it is raining, it makes me nervous all those suitcases are getting wet.

I have been hunting for the perfect suitcase since we agreed to go on this trip. Not only do I overthink, I am very "selective" on the things I chose. I have certain preferences on how I want my suitcase to function. I always say "if I'm going to pay for it, I"m going to get what I want". I can't always get exactly what I want, but I will get dang close! This is the suitcase I picked out.  I love the color! In a sea of black luggage, mine will be easy to spot. I really like the all directional wheels. Those make it so much easier to maneuver a suitcase in any situation. I know I will be using compression bags, but I also like the extender zipper. I will need room for any souvenirs I bring home! Any for added piece of mind, did you see the lock?? I won't have to be paranoid for anyone sliding a hand into my zipper!

To help me fit everything for 15 days (plus a couple of "what if" situations) I am using these compression bags . You just fill them with your items (but don't over stuff) and roll up the bag to expel all of the air. You can think of it as a manual vacuum seal! Once all the air is out of the bag, your clothes are much flatter, saving room in your suitcase.
